Main purpose of the job
To provide facilities maintenance and general maintenance services to the University.
Main tasks
1 Ensure implementation and monitoring of maintenance processes and systems in line with University requirements and relevant legislation
2. Oversee the provision of maintenance services
3. Manage the service desk function
4. Manage the provision of contract management services
5. Manage projects for the unit
6. Develop, manage and implement a budget for the unit
7. Manage the performance and development of staff
8. Ensure submission of reports

R 674 889 per annum

Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or
Experience
- National Diploma Electrical/Mechanical/ Building Science.
- 5 years related experience in maintenance management, 3 of which must be in a facilities management environment (Electrical/Mechanical/Building Science).
Desired Qualification, Knowledge and/or Experience
B-Tech or degree in the fields Electrical/Mechanical/ Building Science.
- Qualification in Facilities Management.
- Electrical and/or Mechanical Trade Test.
