2.Key responsibilities
The Human Resources (HR) Unit manages the Agency's most valuable resource - our employees - effectively, efficiently and in compliance with applicable EU rules and good management practice. We are responsible for recruiting and onboarding new colleagues, managing our staff's contracts and benefits, career development, implementing HR policies and ensuring a positive working environment through continuous learning and development opportunities. We also focus on a safe and healthy work environment through various services and initiatives.
The Human Resources Assistant will work in the Resources Directorate of ECHA in the Human Resources Unit.
The Human Resources Assistant will undertake a variety of tasks under supervision of a Team Leader. He/she will be placed in one of the three activity areas of the Human Resources Unit and be responsible for the tasks that are contained in the respective activity area.

3.Eligibility criteria
a.Qualifications
1) Successful completion of post-secondary level education attested by a diploma.
Or
2) Successful completion of secondary education giving access to post-secondary
education and at least three (3) years professional experience.
4.Professional experience
To qualify for this profile, you must have at the closing date for applications, a total professional experience of at least three (3) years acquired after achieving the minimum requirements stated in 'Minimum qualifications'. At least two (2) years of your total professional experience must be in the fields relevant to the areas of work listed in 'Key responsibilities' on the vacancy notice.
5.Selection criteria
If you meet the eligibility criteria, your application will be assessed on the basis of the following selection criteria.
Your academic and professional qualifications and their relevance to the main areas of work listed in 'Key responsibilities' on the vacancy notice.
Preference will be given to qualifications obtained in or covering the following fields: human resources, business / public management, psychology, sociology, or related fields;
Your professional experience: Preference will be given to candidates having experience in functions similar to those outlined in in 'Key responsibilities' on the vacancy notice. The Selection Committee will assess the range of fields covered, the length, the type and level of work done and its relevance to the areas of work listed in in 'Key responsibilities' on the vacancy notice.
The following will be considered as assets:
Experience in applying EU Staff Regulations and implementing rules in the HR administrative tasks;
Proven experience of working abroad and/or in a similar international/multicultural environment. Preference will be given to work experience abroad.
