Job Overview

This is a great opportunity for a legal professional, to use your knowledge and expertise in a broad and varied in-house legal and compliance role in automotive industry, presenting a wide range of challenges in the areas of new technologies such as automation, connectivity and electrification.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Counsel company management and leaders on legal risks associated with various alternative means for achieving business objectives
• Develop legal strategy and plan in line with the business objectives, working closely with relevant function/division management and leaders
• Advise operational and corporate functions of UD Trucks in all areas of the law (commercial, competition, corporate, employment, IP, etc.)
• Provide legal services and manage wide variety of legal issues relating to the operations of the company, including corporate governance, commercial contracts (marketing, distribution, aftermarket and technical assistance), disputes, employment and environment
• Manage disputes in coordination with functions and external counsels and interface with government/regulatory bodies as required
• Monitor legal or regulatory changes in relevant jurisdictions and optimize legal security/compliance: report on legal incidents and litigations, compulsory standards, and secure processes to secure operations

• 担当部門における、様々な法的リスクについて、会社の経営陣及びリーダーに対し助言を行う。
• 部門の事業目標に沿った法的戦略および計画を、担当部門の経営陣及びリーダーと密に協力しながら策定する。
• あらゆる法律分野（商法、競争法、会社法、労働法、知的財産等）において、担当、または関連部門に対し助言を行う。
• コーポレート・ガバナンス、各種ビジネス契約（マーケティング、物流、アフターマーケット、技術支援）、訴訟・紛争、雇用、環境等、会社の運営に関連する様々な法的問題を管理し、ビジネスに有効な法的サービスを提供する
• 各部門及び社外弁護士と連携して訴訟・紛争を管理し、必要に応じて政府／規制機関との連携を図る。
• 各部門の関連法域における法律または規制の改定、変更を注視し、法的安全性及びコンプライアンスを確保する。
• 訴訟・紛争などの法律案件、政府／規制機関からの命令について報告し、業務運営を確保するためのプロセスを確保する。
  

Minimum qualifications

• More than 5 years' in-house legal experience or experience in a legal firm
• Solid technical legal knowledge/skills
• Distinctive problem-solving abilities and communication skills
• Ability to work with others in a multicultural, diverse team/office environment
• Fluent Japanese and business level English is required

• 企業法務に必要な専門的な法律知識
• 高い問題解決能力、コミュニケーション能力

• 日本語：流暢レベル、英語：ビジネスレベル
