What You Will Achieve

The Manufacturing Operations Support group at Pfizer provides support for production, business and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. As a member of this team, you will perform activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including support of production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management and process reengineering.

As a Senior Manager, you will be setting the objectives for multiple projects in your division. Your managerial and technical skills will help in guiding the people in your division. Your understanding of the external marketplace and customer requirements will facilitate in instituting knowledge sharing practices in your team and outside. You shall be relied on to manage operational activities that support the goals of the division and sets direction for its success.

How You Will Achieve It

• Set objectives for and manage multiple projects/ ongoing work activities of moderate complexity within the Operating Unit.
• Provide timely and thorough technical support to teams for technology transfers form other manufacturing operations and to meet site business goals.
• Lead the department to originate cost and quality improvements, waste reductions and operational efficiencies projects.
• Work closely with Procurement and other above site groups to ensure external elements of the program are understood and all Quality, Financial and Supply Chain needs are met.
• Direct and plan the overall activities to ensure the operational readiness of the site/facility.
• Work together with Project Directors to integrate all the project activities and ensure the project success.
• Ensure new processes meet all the expected requirements related to safety, quality, compliance, operatives, cost effectiveness, capacity maximization, etc.
• Serve as a team leader/ mentor and coach to value stream colleagues as determined by the Value Stream Leader.
• Provide product end to end oversight and technical support for CoDevelopment activities, leading the technical transfer team at the site to ensure on time launch for all new products.
• Deliver the new products production plan with flawless first-time manufacture.
• Engage with all site functions to ensure on time delivery of launch supplies to our customers.
• Collaborate with CoDevelopment teams to bring best process and chemistry solutions to the site, development of a knowledge culture of sharing process and chemistry best practices and processing concepts, continuous improvement, leading related initiatives.
• Develop a talent base of high performing professionals and managers to deliver on business unit and strategic projects.
• Create a motivated, committed and engaged project team that fosters innovation and professional development.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years of experience.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• People Management Experience.
• Proficient in computer skills. (e.g., Microsoft Office, ERP systems, MS Project).

Nice-to-Have

• Master’s degree and relevant pharmaceutical experience.
• Experience working with complex organizations.
• Experience with Operational Excellence techniques (six sigma, etc.)

De Pfizer site in Puurs is één van de grootste productie- en verpakkingssites van Pfizer wereldwijd, gespecialiseerd in aseptische productie en verpakking. Jaarlijks worden in Puurs meer dan 400 miljoen doses injecteerbare vaccins en medicijnen geproduceerd. Deze zijn ter plaatse verpakt in ampullen, flacons, plastic flessen, spuiten en patronen voor pennen.

De medicijnen die in Puurs worden gemaakt, zijn bestemd voor patiënten in meer dan 170 landen wereldwijd. 30% van de productie uit Puurs is bestemd voor ontwikkelingslanden, in samenwerking met UNICEF, WHO, GAVI en ngo's.

Met het gebruik van twee windturbines, zonnepanelen en een warmtekrachtcentrale richten we ons op hernieuwbare energie.
