Advancement Operations Coordinator [Australia]


 

The Advancement team at Swinburne University of Technology are looking for an Advancement Operations Coordinator to join their team!

The Advancement Operations Coordinator is key part of the Advancement Operations team, led by the Associate Director of Alumni and Advancement Operations. The coordinator is responsible for developing in-depth knowledge of Advancement's Relational Database and processes quickly to deliver a pipeline of data related service requests to the wider Advancement team, enabling the University’s philanthropic, alumni and stakeholder engagement strategies.

The coordinator will be expected to support the Data and CRM Leader, providing project delivery of small- to medium-sized projects and support for large-scale projects within Advancement that have an operations dependency.

This position demands a strong commitment to providing high quality customer service to all clients whether they are Advancement colleagues or external to the team. The incumbent requires the ability to assess client needs quickly and accurately and act upon them appropriately.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop positive and productive working relationships with, colleagues, students and other key stakeholders.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of relational databases or CRM's (preferably the Raiser’s Edge (RE)/NXT fundraising software) to deliver a range of data related services, that includes: gift processing and receipting, data segmentation and working with data sets; information management; systems management and configuration.
  • Demonstrated experience using communication software, and marketing platforms such as NetCommunity and Campaign Monitor to engage audiences.
  • Experience prioritising competing workloads and deadlines; managing expectations while showing sound judgment and an exceptional level of sensitivity.
  • Experience of working in Higher Education or Fundraising areas preferred.
Qualifications
  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
