Janssen Pharmaceutica is part of Johnson & Johnson, the department of Pathobiology is recruiting for an Associate Scientist / Histology Necropsy, located in Beerse. You will join a unique team where no workday will be the same. The team is a mix of experienced and passionate people who keep our mission and Credo close at heart.
Key Responsibilities :
- Performing histology work: trimming, embedding, microtome, and staining
- Assistance in the necropsy lab to perform necropsies of different species
- The input of data in different online data capture systems
- Compliance with guidelines on health and safety, animal ethics, laboratory legislation, quality, data integrity, training plans, time registration, standard operating procedures, and work instructions is essential.
- Independent execution of experimental protocols and procedures.
Qualifications
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- Knowledge of the anatomical location of organs and tissues
- Histology tissue processing
- Experience with animal experiments
- Motivated, accurate, and reliable
Preferred:
- Flexible and able to deal with change
- Act with urgency to deliver results in a timely manner
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Good communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Reading, speaking, and writing skills in Dutch and English
